This book tells the story of a young girl living in a world based around rules and regulations. In this particular world life is completley set in stone by the society including the person who they must make their life with their 'match'. Prior to their Match Ceremony the main character Cassia's world is turned upside down when she sees not one but two matches on the computer screen. The first boy who appears on the screen Ky is an abbreation also known as an outsider meaning he can not be matched in the society. However this and many other events sees Cassia question many things including:
- Her match
- Why did Ky appear on her computer?
- The society
- What if she wanted to be with Ky?
This particular book would be appropritae for those in from Upper Primary as it allows students to discover and connect with an alternate reality.
