Tashi comes in a range of books which cover different topics including ancient Egypt, demons and other figments of a child's imaginations. This particular novel There once was a boy called Tashi comprises ten stories which all cover different concepts one has a similar story line to Jack and the beanstalk which would be appealing to students as it is similar to a story they probably already know.
The Tashi books are great for students of different ages and could be incorporated into an English lesson with emphasis on short stories, use of descriptive words and telling stories in an original way.
